Statement from the Director
This movie is a dedication to immigrant families who go above and beyond for their children, even if their children do not realize it. This movie is for girls who don’t feel one with their bodies in a world that puts so much emphasis on beauty and perfection. These very real moments that have shaped my life I now put onto the screen because I know I am not alone in my experiences. This movie is about growing up within yourself, your family, and your world, about both saying goodbye and coming home to a warm, comforting meal.
